Study at Hendrix College


Hendrix College is located in Conway, Arkansas. It is a private liberal arts college that was founded in 1876. Rev. Isham L. Burrow established the college as a primary school called Central Institute. Hendrix College is based on a 160-acre campus. Students are offered graduate and undergraduate degrees in several Course Topics. Some of the fields of study include humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, theater, environment and pre-professional studies. Hendrix College is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The athletic teams of the college are nicknamed the Warriors. The school sponsors teams in baseball, basketball, golf, swimming, tennis, softball and soccer, among others.

Hendrix Selectivity

The admissions department at Hendrix does not accept all those who apply. Most students' verbal SAT scores were in the range of 570 to 690 in 2007. A quarter of students admitted in 2007 scored 660 or higher on the math SAT.
