University of Arkansas Main Campus is a public, coeducational university, situated in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It was founded in 1871 as the Arkansas Industrial University. The university's mascot is the Razorback and the sports teams are called the Hogs. There are cross country, basketball, golf, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, and various other sports teams. Some notable alumni of the university include Ed Wilson, President of the Fox Television Network; Mark Pryor, Arkansas senator; Edwin L. Mechem, Governor of the State of New Mexico; and Laurence Luckinbill, actor.
