Study at Humboldt State University


The main campus of Humboldt State University occupies nearly 144 acres, and was established on June 16, 1913 as a teacher's college. This public educational institution, situated in Arcata, California, serves more than 1, 000 postgraduates and nearly 6, 000 undergraduates at present. HSU offers 12 Master's programs and various credential programs to its students. The sports teams of the university are named the Lumberjacks and the university mascot is Lucky Logger. HSU has men's and women's soccer, cross country, volleyball and basketball teams. American poet Raymond Carver, former Major League Baseball catcher Jack Fimple, former NFL running back Wendell Hayes and former power lifter Danny Herrera are famous alumni of this university.
