Study at Belhaven College


Belhaven College is a Christian liberal arts institution located on a 42-acre site in the Mississippi capital of Jackson. Originally founded in 1883, Belhaven is the culmination of three separate institutions which merged over the years but always maintained a strong relationship with the Presbyterian Church. The school has a rich heritage of prominence in higher education and offers eight bachelor's degrees and four master's degrees in traditional majors and in programs of general studies. Belhaven maintains satellite campuses in Houston, Texas; Memphis, Tennessee; and Orlando, Florida and the school also offers online programs. Points of Distinction

Course Topics

Belhaven College offers eight Bachelor's Degrees, including Bachelor of Arts in 14 disciplines and Bachelor of Science in 13 disciplines. Also offered are four Masters Degrees (Business Administration, Arts in Teaching, Science in Management, and Education) and Associate Degrees. Admission to Belhaven College is selective and requires a completed application with a $25 application fee, an essay, ACT or SAT scores, an official high school transcript, and an academic reference. Belhaven welcomes students of all denominations and backgrounds. Approximately 2, 500 students are currently enrolled, with about 60% from out-of-state. Belhaven College Student LifeBelhaven College encourages a living/learning environment and has five residence halls: three for women and two for men. Full-time freshmen are required to live on campus, except for those who are married, over the age of 21, or those who live off-campus with their parents. Over 50% of traditional students (i. e. , not including adult students who commute) live on campus.
