Study at Flagler College


Flagler College was established in 1968, and is a private, four-year college of liberal arts situated in St. Augustine, Florida. The campus of the college is spread across an area of more than 15 acres. US News and World Report has ranked the college as one among the southeast region's best comprehensive liberal arts colleges. Flagler College offers majors in over 21 streams and minors in over 25 streams of study. Several pre-professional programs are also available. The college is home to the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.

Flagler College's athletics department fields more than 10 men's and women's sports teams. They compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II. They are nicknamed as the Saints. They participate in sports including tennis, soccer, golf, cross country, and baseball.

Flagler makes available a lot of student housing. Meal plans are available. Student athletes at Flagler belong to the Division II Independents for major sports.

"The principal focus of the College's academic program is undergraduate education in selected liberal and pre-professional studies; thus, the role of teaching is central to the College's mission. The purposes of the academic program are to provide opportunities for general and specialized learning; to assist students in preparing for careers; and to aid qualified students in pursuing graduate and professional studies. The objectives of the student life program at Flagler are to establish appropriate standards of conduct and to promote activities that will contribute to the development of self-discipline, integrity, and leadership. Flagler College was established as a memorial to Henry M. Flagler. The Hotel Ponce de Leon, built by Mr. Flagler, serves as a reminder of his enterprise, diligence, and commitment to high standards. The College is pledged to the preservation and use of this facility and other historic and architecturally unique campus structures. "
