Study at Florida International University


Florida International University is a public university situated in Miami, Florida. The university was established in 1965, and occupies around 575 acres of land in Florida. FIU has 16 schools and colleges that offer more than 200 degree programs and 280 majors. The university has more than 35, 000 students, and nearly 2, 000 full-time teachers at present.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Golden Panthers, and the official colors are gold and blue. Roary the Panther is the mascot of FIU. The college has men's and women's volleyball and basketball teams and a men's baseball team. FIU has more than 100, 000 alumni worldwide.
