Study at MedixThe Medix School was founded in 1969 for the purpose of training personnel for the medical and dental professions. Despite a number of ownership changes in the ensuing years, Medix has been in continuous operation since its founding. With four campus locations in the U. S. (one in Georgia and three in Maryland), the school today offers a variety of programs in the allied health field. Medix also offers a limited number of technology programs which are available from its new Medix Technical Training Center, a division of the Medix School Atlanta campus. In addition to its U. S. facilities, Medix also operates campuses in Canada. Points of Distinction
Medix offers certificate and/or diploma programs in a variety of career areas, most of them related to the medical and dental professions. Not all programs are offered at every campus. Available programs include the following fields of study:
Student population varies by campus. The Georgia campus serves close to 400 students, while the Towson, Maryland campus has an Enrolment of roughly 450. Medix School Student LifeThe student experience at Medix does not include on-campus housing but does include availability of day or evening classes, job placement assistance, and financial aid for students who qualify. All programs are culminated by a four-month externship, giving students experience in a real-world working environment. The Georgia campus is situated on a three-acre suburban location in Smyrna, 20 miles outside of Atlanta. Public transportation is readily available to serve all campuses and all sites are easily accessible from major highways.
