DePaul University is a private institution of higher education and research, situated in Chicago, Illinois. It was founded by the Vincentians in the year 1898. The university is named after the 17th century French priest, Saint Vincent de Paul. US News and World Report has listed DePaul's service learning program at the top of the "America's Best Colleges" rankings since 2004.
DePaul has two campuses located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago and the downtown Loop area. The university also has suburban campuses in Naperville, Oak Forest, O'Hare and Rolling Meadows. It offers a variety of degrees and programs through its nine colleges and schools.
