Study at Pioneer Pacific CollegePioneer Pacific College started out in 1981 as a training institution called Skilltronics that prepared students for jobs in the electronics field. After the school's purchase in 1989, it was renamed Pioneer Pacific College and soon after new Course Topics were added. Today, the college has multiple campuses in three different cities, two near Portland and one serving the Eugene area. The college is accredited by a national agency recognized by the U. The college's programs can be partitioned into the following areas: Business, Criminal Justice, Culinary, Health Care, Information Technology and Legal. The college confers diplomas, associate's and bachelor's degrees, depending on the particular program chosen. Pioneer Pacific College Admissions and Financial Aid The school operates a rolling admissions system so there are not particular deadlines. Classes meet year round and new students can start every 10 weeks. A high school diploma, GED or completion of an accredited home study program is the key academic credential that all applicants must possess. Students must also pass an assessment test which evaluates basic academic skills. Students must also have a plan for meeting tuition payments, but the college has experience helping qualified students get the money they need to attend. In fact, a large majority of enrolled students do receive aid in one form or another, whether grants or money that needs to be repaid. Pioneer Pacific College Faculty Quality The teaching staff at the college tend to have significant years of real-word experience under their belts, complementing their educational backgrounds. Class sizes are small, leading to a more personalized interaction between students and instructors.
