All programs offered by The Global Campus have competitive entrance requirements, which are determined by the University of Illinois faculty who create the programs. Only students meeting (or exceeding) those requirements will be admitted. However, unlike the admissions processes at most residential campuses, all students meeting the admissions criteria will be admitted to the Global Campus and will be able to enroll in classes in their chosen programs of study. The school can be contacted online or by phone to start the application process.

University of Illinois Global Campus Faculty Quality

All Global Campus instructors are required to complete a rigorous online teaching certification program before they can teach. They are mentored by experienced online faculty members and their teaching effectiveness is evaluated on a regular basis. Faculty members believe wholeheartedly in accelerated and adult learning theories and are committed to providing quality instruction in a highly interactive environment.

University of Illinois Global Campus Student Enrolment

Students pursuing the online bachelor's degree completion programs are individuals who have completed the first year or so of studies at a four-year college or university or who have received an associate's degree from a community college. Many Global Campus students are working professionals eager for the opportunity to expand their experience and education in an online environment.

University of Illinois Global Campus Student Life

Unlike traditional courses in which the students and instructor meet face-to-face once or several times a week, most of the learning activities and communication in an online course are asynchronous, meaning that class members participate and complete their assignments at different times throughout the day and week. This arrangement makes it possible for students to complete their class work at a time and place most convenient to them. Global Campus instructors utilize a variety of technologies for their office hours, including telephone, e-mail, and web-conferencing technologies. They are required to post the dates and times when they are available to check e-mail and respond to student inquiries.
