Study at Loras College


Loras College is one of the three Catholic colleges in the Archdiocese of Dubuque, situated in Dubuque, Iowa. The Loras College was established in 1839 by Rev. Mathias Loras, the first Bishop of Dubuque. The sprawling campus of the institute covers an area of 65 acres.

This liberal arts institute offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and programs of study. The students of Loras College can choose from courses in disciplines such as accounting, interpretation, biochemistry, history, mathematics, economics, and gender studies, among others.

The athletics department of Loras College sponsors teams in sports including basketball, baseball, soccer, golf, and cross country. Nicknamed the Duhawks, the teams are members of the NCAA Division III and the IIAC.
