Study at Southwestern Community College


Southwestern Community College, also referred to as SWCC, was established in 1966. However, its roots can be traced back to the Creston Community College which was founded in 1926. SWCC's main campus is spread across 406 acres of land in Creston, Iowa. In addition, the college offers classes in the Osceola Center, and the Red Oak Center.

Students of SWCC are offered associate's degrees and diplomas in various disciplines. The college also offers transfer programs that enable students to continue their education at other four-year institutes. In addition, adult and continuing education programs are also available.

The sports teams of Southwestern Community College are known as the Spartans. The students participate in sports including baseball, softball, cross country, basketball, and volleyball, and the teams compete in the ICCAC Region XI.
