Study at Mount Ida CollegeMount Ida College was originally established as a women's high school in 1899. It moved to its present 72-acre campus in Newton, Massachusetts, in 1939, and started offering associate's degrees from 1967. Mount Ida College became a coeducational institute in the 1980s. The Chamberlayne Junior College, Coyne School of Technical Electricity, and New England Institute of Funeral Service Education merged with the college in the late 1980s.
