Study at Mount Ida College


Mount Ida College was originally established as a women's high school in 1899. It moved to its present 72-acre campus in Newton, Massachusetts, in 1939, and started offering associate's degrees from 1967. Mount Ida College became a coeducational institute in the 1980s. The Chamberlayne Junior College, Coyne School of Technical Electricity, and New England Institute of Funeral Service Education merged with the college in the late 1980s.

The athletics department of Mount Ida College is a member of the North Atlantic Conference of NCAA Division III. Nicknamed the Mustangs, the teams participate in basketball, football, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, cross country, equestrian, and softball.
