Study at Columbia College


Columbia College, also known as Columbia College of Missouri is a private co-educational liberal arts university based in Columbia, Missouri. It was founded in 1851. Though the College is nonsectarian, it has retained a covenant with the Christian Church since its inception.

Columbia College offers a variety of degree programs in different fields of study. It offers day and evening classes on its Columbia Campus and extension courses through its nationwide campuses and ties with US military bases. It also offers online courses.

The official mascot of Columbia College is a Cougar and their sports teams are nicknamed The Cougars. Some of the notable alumni of the College are Judy Baker, Missouri congresswoman; Deborah Bryant, Miss America l966; and Arliss Howard, actor, writer and director.

The admissions department at the school does not accept all those who apply. Most students' verbal SAT scores were in the range of 460 to 600 in 2007.
