Southeast Missouri State University was established in 1873 and is a public college situated in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The campus is set on nearly 400 acres of land. The university's sports teams are called the Redhawks. The athletic teams are a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I.
