Through these schools, Canisius College offers more than 70 minors, majors and special programs of study. It is particularly well known for its finance program. The college’s sports teams are nicknamed the Golden Griffins. It sponsors more than 10 men’s and women’s teams in sports of baseball, basketball, lacrosse, cross country, ice hockey, swimming and diving, golf, volleyball, softball and soccer.
