Study at Mississippi College


Mississippi College, also known as MC, is located in Clinton, Mississippi. Though originally established as Hampstead Academy in 1827, it went through several name and status changes and was given its present name in 1830. MC enrolls more than 4,500 students annually. It is a private Christian university, which offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in diverse Course Topics. Recently, U. S. News & World Report and the New York Times included MC among the best colleges of the nation. In addition to the main campus in Clinton, MC has several other satellite campuses located in Madison, Mississippi, and Jackson, Mississippi.

The athletics department of MC participates in various sports such as men’s and women’s baseball,bBasketball, softball, tennis, and aoccer. Since 2005 it has also participated in football. MC is a member of NCAA and their sports teams are known as the Choctaws.
