NACC’s athletic department fields sports teams for both men and women. They sponsor men s intercollegiate programs in basketball, golf, baseball, soccer and wrestling. Women s teams participate in golf, soccer, basketball, softball and volleyball. NCCC s teams are nicknamed the Trailblazers and are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Some of the notable alumni of the college are George Maziarz, a New York State Senator and Rashad Evans, a mixed martial artist.
