The State University of New York at Geneseo is located in Livingston County, New York. It is a member of the State University of New York system. It was established as the Wadsworth Normal and Training School in 1871. Geneseo offers more than 45 undergraduate majors, over 5 masters programs and over 20 interdisciplinary minors.

The Lamron is an independent student newspaper, which has been published since 1922. WGSU is Geneseo s federally-licensed radio station. Its athletic teams are nicknamed the Knights.
