The SUNY College at Old Westbury, also known as OWSU, is a public university located in Old Westbury, New York, United States. It was established in the year 1965 by the State University of New York Board of Trustees. OWSU is part of the State University of New York system. OWSU sponsors several men’s and women’s sports teams which are nicknamed the Panthers. It is a member of the NCAA Division III. The Panthers participate in basketball, cross country, softball, swimming and diving, and volleyball. The college s student-run newspaper is called the "The Catalyst."
