University College of Syracuse University New York

University College offers a variety of degree programs, certificates, and non-credit courses in formats tailored to the busy schedules of part-time students. Courses are offered in the evenings, on weekends, online, and through short residency programs. During the summer, courses are offered during the daytime. In addition to serving the academic needs of students pursuing their degrees part-time, UC also offers award-winning workforce training programs and sponsors community service programs.

Part-time students can pursue a degree from any of Syracuse University s schools through University College.

Earn a Syracuse University degree part-time through University College. University College offers degree and certificate programs in a variety of flexible course formats, including online, short residency, condensed or weekend courses. Earn your associate, bachelor s, or master s degree part-time.

Consider the Bachelor of Professional Studies program offering degrees in Organizational Leadership, Applied Computer Technology, Legal Studies, or Professional Communication.

Earn a Professional Studies credit certificate, which you can apply toward your bachelor s degree requirements; University College also offers non-credit certificates in a variety of professional areas.

Further your personal development with non-credit courses offered through Humanistic Studies at University College. International students can take intensive English language courses for academic or professional purposes through the English Language Institute at University College.

On the Syracuse University campus at 700 University Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13244. Syracuse is the geographic center of New York State, located approximately 250 miles northwest of New York City.

There are approximately 100 staff members at University College who assist students in every step of the educational process, from advising to registration, through graduation.


Students
UC serves a multicultural blend of 8,000 part-time and summer students during a calendar year. Approximately 500 students complete their part-time studies through UC each year and participate in SU s May Commencement ceremony in the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse University faculty members and community experts certified for adjunct status by their respective academic departments teach for University College.

Syracuse University s English Language Institute (ELI) offers international students concentrated study to improve English proficiency for academic or professional advancement. The ELI faculty are highly qualified and experienced. Instructors and staff take a personal interest in the students.
