Columbus State Community College, or CSCC, was established in Columbus, Ohio as Columbus Technical Institute in 1963. The College offers two year career programs in more than 50 Course Topics. The main campus is located near downtown Columbus, Ohio. Its campus covers 80 acres and consists of more than 25 buildings.

Columbus State also runs 10 off-campus centres in the suburban neighborhoods of Dublin, Gahanna, Westerville, Groveport, Marysville, Grandview, Grove City, Delaware and southeast as well as southwest Columbus.

The sports teams of Columbia State are known as the Cougars. They have four varsity-level sports teams and all of them participate at the NJCAA Division II level. The college owns a newspaper called the Cougar News and a literary magazine known as Spring Street.
