The University of Oregon, or UO, is a coeducational, public research university located in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It was founded in 1876. UO is the flagship school of the Oregon public university system. U. S. News and World Report's annual college rankings (2007 edition) ranked UO 108th (tie) in the national university category. The campus of OU is spread over 295 acres and consists of over 55 major buildings. It is organized into the following academic divisions:

UO's official mascot is the Oregon Duck and their sports teams are nicknamed the Ducks. UO is a member of the Pacific-10 Conference and Division I-A of the NCAA. University of Oregon‘s teams have won over 10 NCAA team championships.
