Lander University is a public university situated in Greenwood, South Carolina, United States. It was founded in the year 1872 as Williamston Female College by Methodist clergyman, Samuel Lander. Lander University is the state's smallest, publicly-funded, baccalaureate institution. The campus spreads across an area of over 120 acres.
