Study at Austin College


Austin College, commonly referred to as AC, was founded in 1849. Initially located in Huntsville, Texas, the college moved to its present 70-acre campus in Sherman, Texas, in 1876. AC merged with the Texas Presbyterian College in 1930. The U. S. News and World Report of 2006 placed Austin College among the top 100 "Best Liberal Arts Colleges". Students at Austin College are offered bachelor's and master's degrees in a wide variety of disciplines. Several pre-professional programs are also available. The academic centres of Austin College include:

The athletics department of Austin College fields men's and women's teams in baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, and volleyball. Nicknamed the Kangaroos, the teams compete in the NCAA Division III, and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
