Texas A&M University, also known as A&M or TAMU, is a coeducational, public research university located in College Station, Texas. It was founded in the year 1876. The 2009 U. S. News and World Report ranked Texas A&M University 64th among national universities and 23rd among public universities. Texas A&M Selectivity

The admissions department at the school does not accept all those who apply. Most students' verbal SAT scores were in the range of 520 to 630 in 2007. A quarter of students admitted in 2007 scored 670 or higher on the math SAT.
