The University of Texas at San Antonio, or UTSA, is San Antonio's largest public university and is currently the second largest university in the University of Texas System. It was founded on June 5, 1969, by Governor Preston Smith. The main campus is spread across an area of 600 acres. UTSA offers more than 60 bachelor degrees, over 40 master degrees, and more than 15 doctorate degrees. UTSA is organized into eight colleges which include: -

UTSA takes part in more than 15 intercollegiate sports. Their sports teams are nicknamed the Roadrunners and their official mascot is Rowdy. The UTSA team plays at the Convocation Center and is a member of the Southland Conference.
