Study at Brigham Young University


Brigham Young University, BYU, is a private, coeducational research university, located in Provo, Utah. The university is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS or Mormon Church). The main campus covers an area of 560 acres and is home to several museums containing exhibits from various fields of study.

The primary focus of BYU is undergraduate education, however, it also has more than 65 master's and over 25 doctoral degree programs. These degree programs are managed by 11 colleges. The Princeton Review ranked BYU's Harold B. Lee Library as the #1 "Great College Library" in 2004.

The athletic teams of BYU are known as the Cougars. They participate in a number of different sports ranging from Men's volleyball to Women's rugby.
