Study at Castleton State College


Castleton State College is located in Castleton, Vermont, United States. It was established in the year 1787 as a grammar school. In fact, it is the oldest college in the state of Vermont. It became a state college in 1962 and adopted its current name. It offers over 30 undergraduate programs and several master degrees in diverse Course Topics. Castleton State College participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III. They are also members of the Eastern College Athletic Conference and North Atlantic Conference. The sports teams are known as the Spartans and include men's and women's basketball, baseball, skiing, golf, cross county, lacrosse, football, women's softball, tennis, ice hockey, soccer, and women's volleyball. Castleton State College officially recognized a number of student organizations including the Art Students League, Student Nurses Association, Coffeehouse Committee, and Reel Action Film Club.
