Norwich University, also referred to as NU, is located in Northfield, Vermont, United States. It was established in 1819 by Captain Alden B. Partridge as the American Literary, Scientific and Military Academy. In 1834, it gained university status and adopted its present name. The campus sits on an area of approximately 1200 acres in Northfield. Norwich University operates a radio station called WNUB–FM. The university attracts students from about 20 foreign countries. NU offers an array of undergraduate and graduate degree programs through the following schools:
