Edmonds Community College


More than 10, 000 students take courses for credit toward a certificate or degree at Edmonds Community College. Over 40% of these students plan to transfer to a four-year college or university; over 31% work toward career program degrees; about 29% are undecided; and other take courses for enrichment, for workplace skills, and for GED, basic skills, and family education. More than 51% of students in credit courses are part-time students who combine college with work and with family.

6% of the student body includes international students from 45 other countries; nearly 90% of students live within eight miles of the campus.

Our campus is a lively place with students from a broad range of backgrounds, races, religions and points of view. Over half of the students are women and the average age is about 29. Students in class might range from 16- to 18-years-old; from Running Start (high school) students to people who are returning to school for a career change or to update job skills.

No TOEFL required at Edmonds CC

Edmonds Community College does not require a TOEFL exam in order to attend college. Instead students take the Edmonds English Placement assessment upon arrival and are then placed in appropriate classes. For students who want or need ESL, we provide a full range of classes, and you can take college classes while completing the higher levels ESL coursework.

Edmonds CC has scholarships

Scholarship opportunities for international students are for fall, winter, and spring quarters. New students or students transferring to Edmonds Community College; students enrolled in ESL and continuing on to college level courses; students involved in leadership and/or service activities; and students with high grade point averages are all eligible to apply.
