Seattle Pacific University, also referred to as SPU, was established in the year 1891 by Oregon and Washington Conference of the Free Methodist Church. The university is located in Seattle, Washington, United States, and was originally called the Seattle Seminary. SPU gained university status in the year 1977. It is a member unit of the Christian College Consortium. SPU enrolls more than 3, 000 students on an annual basis.
