Western Washington University


Western Washington University, or WWU, is one of the state-funded, four-year universities of higher education in Washington, United States. The US News (2007 edition) ranked Western Washington University 2nd in the public, master's universities (west) category and 18th in the west (both public and private). WWU's sports teams are nicknamed the Vikings. The university's mascot is the Viking. WWU is a NCAA Division II member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. They won the first three GNAC All-Sports Championships and are ranked 31st among the 225 NCAA II schools in the United States.
