Study at Appalachian State University


Appalachian State University is a public, coeducational university located in Boone, North Carolina. Appalachian State is the sixth largest institution in North Carolina. The university was featured in the Princeton Review's 2008 edition of America's Best Value Colleges and was recognized by TIME Magazine as a College of the Year in 2001. Appalachian campus encompasses 1, 300 acres. It comprises five colleges and one graduate school that offer more than 140 degree programs and 1, 500 courses to students. The academic units are:

The sports teams of Appalachian State are nicknamed the 'Mountaineers'. The teams compete in the Southern Conference and Football Championship Subdivision of NCAA Division I.
