About Carthage: Carthage is a private college of the liberal arts and sciences, affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Located
midway between Chicago and Milwaukee, Carthage's picturesque campus
on the Lake Michigan shore is home to 1, 723 full-time and 750
part-time students. Carthage awards the Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in more
than 30 subject areas, and the Master of Education degree. Carthage
also hosts the joint Executive MBA and Master of Social Work degree
awarded by Loyola University Chicago. The Carthage faculty comprises nearly 100 scholars, 90 percent of
whom hold the doctorate or other terminal degree. Carthage was
founded in 1847. Carthage boasts a long-standing commitment to educating the whole
person by nourishing the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, social, and physical dimensions of students' lives. The College offers: -
