The Huntingdon Plan

Huntingdon College is a community of faith, wisdom, and service, committed to developing skilled leaders to serve a complex world. We strive to wholly educate the student while remaining true to our motto: "Enter to grow in wisdom. Go forth to apply wisdom in service. "A Huntingdon education embodies the College's commitment to its mission and motto and includes:

  • A laptop computer for each first-year student for use all four years; and yours to keep at graduation.
  • An outstanding liberal arts education and personal choice in a broad range of core courses. The Huntingdon core addresses skills and knowledge necessary for professional success: writing, communication, a second language, and a fundamental knowledge of Western culture through historical and biblical study.
  • Hands-on learning, such as research, experimentation, writing, working, interning, travel, and service.
  • Travel/study opportunities in the U. S. and abroad. Students have traveled in organized groups or in individual experiences to six continents in recent years.
  • Huntingdon is about people. Students know and are known by their faculty and their peers. Nearly 80% of classes have fewer than 20 students. The low student-to-faculty ratio is 15:1.
  • Levelized tuition guarantees that the tuition first-year students pay will be the same for each of their four years at Huntingdon!
  • Personalized academic advising and special advising for career, pre-professional, and first year experiences
